I had dyed my hair for a bit over two months already. The color seemed like it did change a bit to a lighter orange color, though I'm surprised that the color did not fade that much.
For those of you not up to date, I used Liese Prettia Foaming Hair Dye in the color Rose Tea Brown.
Here is my current hair with normal lighting (sunlight through the window).
The color isn't quite visible in indoor lighting though you can tell there's a hint of coloring in the hair.
Here is a closeup of my hair in indoor lighting. My roots is pretty visible now under bright lights and the sunlight, though this is close to the true color you see outdoors. So much for having purple hair :P
I wouldn't recommend anyone with dark hair to use this dye unless they decided to bleach it. I have gotten a few people telling me that they got similar results when using this dye on dark hair. I am definitely planning on using another Liese Prettia Foaming Hair Dye, though definitely not this color again. I think I might try some brown color next time (:
I'm somewhat a big vocaloid fan and I like listening to their songs, especially Kagamine Rin and Len. There are many companies that make figurines based of them and my favorite ones are Nendoroids. If you don't know what Nenoroid is, it is created by Good Smile Company, and the characters are made into chibi size figurines where you can pose them.
So in early March, Good Smile Company announced that they were taking pre-sales of Snow Miku 2013 Nendoroid. Each year, they hold different contest design for people to create a Snow Miku.
The first Snow Miku that ever came out was in 2010. The design she had was similar to her original attire, except they changed everything to blue and added snow flakes. I remember seeing it originally and thought it was super adorable~
In 2011, they redesigned the Snow miku and added more features. The color scheme became more metallic, though her entire attire is still similar to the 2010 one. I like her accessories such as the mittens, ear muffs, and scarf.
Starting in 2012, they had a design competition for Snow Miku and this is the winning design for that year. Her entire attire has changed though her hair still remained the same. I really loved this design when I first saw it! But by the time I saw the announcement on Good Smile, I was no longer able to pre-order it anymore.
For 2013, the entire outfit of Miku's changed completely. I know some people were really sad that it did not follow the traditional blue shade outfit or hair, though I think the change was really cute. The winning design consisted of Miku in a kimono. I remember first time seeing it online and knew I had to get my hands on it. It is very beautiful and really elegant. The original design may seem a bit plain but I thought the nendoroid was really amazing!
Isn't it elegant? I really love her hair style! I think for me, the main thing was that this Nendoroid is completely different from the other Miku Nendoroid designs. I'm so happy I was able to pre-order one! Crossing my hands now that this thing will be successfully delivered from Japan to America in June-July.
Also you can take her 'hat' off. I really like this pose because it looks so Japanese and reminds me of the New Years a lot!
For those of you that are wondering, the winning Snow Miku design for 2014 have already been chose. I think the design is super adorable too! I seriously cannot wait till the Nendoroid comes out! This time they even have another contest for the winning animal!
She's like a school girl magical witch. I really love all the small details that the artist put into this drawing. If you are interested in the future to design a Snow Miku, here is the link to the official website. I believe contest starts in January of each new year and ends in early May.
Sorry for the late post! Been really busy this past few weeks with college stuff~ So I dyed my hair two weeks ago~ It was a very long process as I couldn't get the bubbles to stay on my hair before they disappeared.
The instructions I got were in Japanese (as I ordered it straight from Japan), though here's an English video of the instructions in English:
So here is the two bottles of the hair dye. After mixing it and putting on the pink bubble cap, you should be able to squeeze out foam.
So this is my hair before I dyed it. I have had highlights in the past, hence why the ends of my hair is ligher than my roots.
After my tedious almost an hour long from start to finish, here is the end result:

It was a bit disappointing because the purple undertone did NOT show up at all. The color I have now has a more orange undertone when shined under sun light. I like the color still but it is far from what the box has shown. I think it may be because my hair wasn't bleached or I may have left it in for a bit too long.

The entire process is really easy. There steps were really easy to understand, even though it was in Japanese. The only thing that may be a bit hard is when trying to get the dye on the back of your head. Other than that, it is basically like shampooing your hair!

As mention earlier, the color did not come out exactly as the box said it would. Under certain lighting, it may appear to be purplish though under the sunlight, it becomes a whole other color. The color is nice but I'm disappointed it didn't turn out how I wanted it to be.

The first few days, my hair smelled like ammonia after I dyed it. The smell is pretty strong if your hair is right in front of your face, though if it's behind your ears it wasn't that bad.
CONCLUSION
The color didn't fade after a week and it is still pretty visible. I think under certain lighting, the hair appears to have a purple undertone. Even though the color did not turn out how I wanted it to be, I still like the color I have right now. This is my second-third week and the color is still pretty vibrant. The dye itself doesn't wash off that easily, which is a plus! I will be doing another review in a month or two to update you guys whether the color faded or not~
I recently got two hair dyes from online (ordered it from Japan since even with shipping it was a lot cheaper). The two colors that I got were Rose Tea Brown and Sweet Apricot.
It took me a while to decide which color to do first but I ended up choosing the 'Rose Tea Brown' because 1)the color did not seem to be as bright and vibrant as 'Sweet Apricot' and 2)I wasn't able to find ANY reviews of this color. Since 'Rose Tea Brown' is one of the newest colors, I guess not many people have tried it or done a review on it. I really love the color it shows on the box, though most likely the color will be a lot darker than what it shown on the box. So in the box, it includes the following items: 1) Solution 1 - Dye 2) Solution 2 3) Foaming Pump 4) Gloves and the Allergy Test 5) Hair condition
Since I never used this brand of dye before, I did the allergy test. It is important for people to do the allergy test because you will regret it a lot if you do not do it and realize have an allergic reaction. I have heard people that got super bad allergic reactions that resulted in cutting their hair really short and taking medications. The allergy test is really simple. Inside the package, they included a small tearable paper with a circle on it. All you have to do is take cotton swabs and get around 3 drops of solution 1 (the hair color dye) and 3 drops of solution 2 (the clear solution). Mix them together and then apply it either behind your ear or on your arm.
This is the result after I mixed it with two cotton swabs to prevent the two solutions mixing with each other. Also remember, once you mix the solutions you have to use them immediately or else it will not work after one day.
I decided to do it on my arm because it is a lot easier for me to test and see. I did two spots just because I accidentally got too much solution.

After testing it out, there hasn't been any solutions. The only concern I have is that my arm feels a bit tingly, though there are no signs of redness or itchiness around the area where I put the hair dye on. Hopefully I will not be allergic to the hair dye and will be able to dye it on Friday (:
On Saturday, I went with my friends down to the bay area. If you don't know, around this time of the year is when people in Japan go look at Sakura (also known as Cherry Blossom) and have many festivals. Currently the Japan Town in San Francisco is having a Cherry Blossom Event. The event will be held one more week from April 20 to 21.
I did not take a lot of photos... except for foods. I'll be showing you guys what I ate :3
So there are many food booths, though some of the lines are pretty ridiculous. Also there were not a lot and they were all in this tiny area (right behind the bridge that the building with all the restaurants with the bookstore Kinokuniya).
My friends and I got curry rice, sukiyaki rice bowl ($6.5), and unagi rice bowl ($7.5). Since I was did not eat in the morning, I thought the rice bowl was pretty good and literally scarfed it down.
We were in line waiting for the takoyaki while eating our lunch. The takoyaki were $3 for 5, $6 for 10, and $9 for 15. To be honest, it wasn't that good. I think the takoyaki store inside the building (or the mall) taste a lot better.
Also the takoyaki inside didn't actually have "tako" (or octopus). It was a piece of meat and the takoyaki itself were under cook. I don't blame them since there were a lot of people there but it was indeed disappointing.
We basically roamed around the mall, going to every shop and fan girling all the anime things we see. I also went to the 'Pika Pika' store to take purikura photos with my friends. The photos sadly were too bright and did not turn out well when I scanned it.
I found some interesting Hello Kitty plushes in the Sanrio store. I believe this is a new series though it is super adorable! I think my most favorite one is probably the onigiri Hello Kitty.
Before leaving Japan Town, I got the 'Happy Face' Crepe from Belly Good Cafe & Crepes. I love the animal designs! It's just so adorable >.< They also make other animals and I have seen ones with owls too!
For dinner, we headed to Berkeley and ate at a ramen place called Cal Ramen. It wasn't bad but at the same time it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I mean it's worth trying out if your place is lacking good ramen place. I got the 'Katsu Ramen' though the photo did not turn out nicely. Here's my friend's 'Spicy Pork Ramen'. I think it's more photo worthy :)
During my spring break a couple week ago, I visited the southern part of California, or for short 'SoCal'. If you haven't known, 'SoCal' is known for being 'Asian'. To me, it was a paradise because I was able to feel like I was home again. All the food I was craving for could be found there. One of the days when I was down there, my really good friend took me around to different restaurants to eat. Indeed it was a fattening day but it was well worth it. Our first stop was Tea Factory Bar (TFB for short). The place was more like a cafe and it had a really nice atmosphere. People that do not know this store would not have known what's inside. For those of you that are Wong Fu Production fans, Wong Fu filmed there for their series "When It Counted" in the episodes when Tammy was hanging out with her friends. I ordered their 'Nom Nom Milk Tea' and I have to say, it was really good. The milk tea was like a mixture of smoothie and milk tea, with pudding and boba inside.

Along with that, we ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken (盐酥鸡). It tasted almost like the authentic ones that you get in those Taiwan night markets.
The main purpose that my friend bought me here was to eat their brick toast. We got the caramel flavor and it was a bomb. I love how the caramel flavor was not overpowering and it had a hint of honey flavor to it. I highly recommend their brick toast, though just a warning it may be too sweet for some of you~
Next stop was a small taco place. If you were to drive past it, you will never think to stop and try the food. It looks indeed really ghetto but that taco is actually pretty amazing. The taco was pretty small ($1.50) though it was good.
Just FYI, those are cheese not pasta. When I was taking the photo, my friend and I both thought it looked like pasta salad or some sort. I got the chicken one, though they also offer beef. My friend knew I miss eating Taiwanese beef noodle soup (牛肉面), and so she took me pretty far to a really amazing beef noodle soup in Diamond Bar. The store was called Bull Demon King Cafe. The food itself is pretty spicy, around $11 a bowl, though the more spicy you get it the more it will cost. Since I have been deprived of beef noodle soup back where my university is, eating this was amazing. In my opinion, it tasted pretty authentic and the meat was really tender. I think this restaurant won some kind of competition so in my opinion, it is definitely worth checking out~
We concluded our food adventure by eating Shaved Ice at Class 302. If you live in SoCal and have NEVER been to this store, then you are missing out a lot~! There are three stores in SoCal, one in Cerritos, one in Rowland Heights, and one in Irvine. The concept of this shop is super cute. They make the shop like the classrooms you see back in Taiwan. My friend and I ordered the Mango and Strawberry Shaved Ice. It was pretty good, though since it wasn't manga and strawberries season, they were not sweet. I heard their boba was pretty good too~ There were a lot of people and I have heard my other friends say that the wait can be up to several hours long. I'm glad I didn't have to wait for that long~
